Claude Sauzet tomó cursos en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Nimes , donde obtuvo un segundo premio de dibujo en 1959. Se unió a la Essor Cevennes y encontró Jean Savajol y René Roux [¿quién?] Que ya había notado en 1955 .
