Kent William es un pintor, ilustrador y diseñador gráfico y dibujante de novelas gráficas americano. Es principalmente un pintor figurativo, aunque también ha destacado en trabajos como ilustrador por el que ha recibido numerosos premios. Recientemente ha completado y editado su novela gráfica más famosa,The Fountain, junto al cineasta Darren Aronofsky y basándose en el argumento de la película. Pero son sus pinturas lo que nos deja la parte más profunda y desgarrada de este artista, unas pinturas intensas y penetrantes con las que parece explorar nuestras virtudes sin rehuir nuestros defectos. Trazos firmes y algo duros que nos dejan una sensación de caos en medio de una belleza bien camuflada y visible. Aunque pueda parecer algo tosco en principio, Williams sabe combinar perfectamente los colores de su paleta y aplicarlos con sus pinceles para conseguir el efecto deseado.
